Mineral and crisp, with a hint of warmth no doubt imparted from its time in Oak barrels. Light to medium bodied, dry but not to the bone, with is a beautiful salinity on first taste.
Sassaia is produced with 100% Garganega cultivated in the vineyards close to the winery, on Sorio hills, which soil is rich in minerals. The fermentation is spontaneous and it takes place in 30hl oak barrels, without temperature control. It is bottled in April or May of the following year, without clarification and filtration. Part of the bottling process occurs without adding sulphur dioxide.
All our natural wines are low intervention, unfiltered, without any additives, sugars or sulphites. Created from grapes cultivated using organic or biodynamic farming.
