CANTINA GIARDINO NATURAL WINES

Cantina Giardino by Antonio and Daniela De Gruttola
Campania, Italy

Cantina Giardino is the vineyard of Antonio and Daniela De Gruttola, who champion the preservation of Campania’s native grape varieties, old vines and the most natural way of treating them. In Irpinia, these old vineyards sit at high altitude in mostly volcanic soils.

Organically, they farm approximately six hectares of Aglianico, a hearty and intense red grape, alongside local white grapes Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino, and Coda di Volpe. All vineyard work is completed by hand, and all winemaking is kick-started with natural fermentation.

Cantina Giardino is increasingly known for their long skin macerations for both white and red wines, created in a mix of local wood casks and clay anforas. An exceptional expression of their unique terroir, we love Cantina Giardino for their energetic and exciting cuvées.
